  1. @phys_educator – https://twitter.com/phys_educator

This twitter account provides great resources to participate in Physical Education. It is tailored to both at home and at school. It currently has 42K followers and is growing. Check it out. I would use this in my class by having students complete a set of cards each day. It would allow me to have students participate and cover GLOs.

2. @pecentral – https://twitter.com/pecentral

PE Central is a great resource for educators. It has great ideas and uses other teachers’ ideas by retweeting them to get better exposure for others to see. It is one of my favorite pages to find new and exciting ideas. It has great ideas right now for at-home activities and ways to keep students active.

Ross Chakrian@Mr_C_PE If pushing out the same activity across a wide range of grade levels (i.e. Virtual Field Day), include modifications on how Ss can extend (Ramp It Up!) or refine (Ramp It Down!) to meet the needs of the variety of ability levels in your classes#HPEatHome #physed 113 12:41 PM - May 22, 2020 Twitter Ads info and privacy 30 people are talking about this

3. @PhysedGames – https://twitter.com/PhysedGames

This is one of my favorite resources it is great for simple game ideas for PE teachers. As well it has lots of easy-to-follow video explanations of the games which are great for students who have trouble reading or learn better from video demos. It has lots of cool and unique twists on traditional games. Enjoy.

Using Twitter in the classroom:

I would use Twitter by having students come up with their own workout/game to post to share with their classmates. I would then have students try each others games out and see which ones they enjoyed the most. If it became a fan favorite I would incorporate into the classroom and use it as a warm-up game or cool down.
